Requires an OpenAI account with Codex access. The app, the editor extension and the terminal share one configuration (~/.codex/config.toml), so you connect once.
1

Add the server

Settings → MCP servers → Add server, and pick Streamable HTTP.
2

Paste the URL

Leave the bearer token field empty: authorization goes through your account, not through a key.
3

Authorize

With the same account you use to sign in to the OptiMind dashboard. Your browser opens and you press “Authorize”.
Prefer the terminal? Two commands:
If you authorize successfully but no tools show up in the thread, update Codex: there is a known bug in an alpha build of the desktop app (openai/codex#20009). The terminal and the editor extension work in the meantime.

If something goes wrong

  • It can’t see your data, or sees it empty → you authorized with a different account. Ask “which OptiMind account are you connected to?”; if it isn’t yours, remove the server, sign in to darkfunnels.ai with the right account and connect again.
  • New features don’t show up → start a new thread: each conversation keeps the tool list it had when it opened.
  • “Out of credits” → top up in Billing.
